CALIFORNIA & DESTINATION WEDDINGS

A wedding photography experience rooted in feeling, atmosphere,& connection.

For couples who want to be fully present in their day while every layer of it is thoughtfully preserved.

With a documentary instinct and an editorial eye, I photograph weddings as they truly unfold — guiding when needed, observing when it matters, and creating images that feel artful, honest, and true to the atmosphere of the day.

My approach to your wedding day

01 Documentary storytelling

The most meaningful photographs often come from moments that can’t be recreated. With a quiet, observant approach, I document emotion, connection, movement, and the fleeting in-between moments as they naturally unfold — so your gallery feels lived-in, not overly staged.

02 Guiding with intention

You shouldn’t have to think about the photographs on your wedding day. Part of my expertise is anticipating what’s needed, knowing when to gently step in and when to let a moment unfold. When direction is helpful, I’ll guide you through portraits, family photographs, movement, light, and composition with care, while always protecting the ease and energy of the day itself.

03    A calm, grounded presence

So much of wedding photography depends on trust. With a calm, grounded presence, my goal is that you feel cared for while creating space for the people around you to feel comfortable and let their guard down. I’m a people person by nature, and that connection is part of the work. When people feel at ease, they let me into the moments that matter, allowing the photographs to feel honest, intimate, and real.

04 A collaborative vision

I approach each wedding as a creative partnership. You are choosing me for the way I see the world, but my work begins with listening — understanding what you’re drawn to, what matters most, and how you want the day to feel. From there, I bring that vision to life through my lens, documenting the atmosphere, the details, the people, and the emotion in a way that feels true to the celebration itself.

“On our wedding day, we felt completely at ease having Francesca there. She has such a calm, kind, and confident presence that instantly makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Nothing ever felt forced or stressful. She guided us when needed but also allowed moments to unfold naturally.

It honestly felt like having someone there who truly understood us and was rooting for us, while also capturing every important moment beautifully. We were able to be fully present and enjoy our day knowing we were in such good hands.”

The way I see a wedding day

Before I ever photographed weddings, I studied filmmaking and spent years thinking about visual storytelling – how a scene is shaped by light, movement, composition, and emotion.

That background still informs the way I approach a wedding: with the instincts of both a documentarian and a filmmaker. Observing the moments naturally unfolding, anticipating emotion – knowing when to offer direction, and knowing when to step back.

My hope is that the experience feels calm, thoughtful, and deeply personal – and that the photographs feel like the day as you lived it.

“Francesca seamlessly blended into every event while capturing all of the meaningful moments, details, and emotions that make a wedding weekend so special. She has an incredible eye for storytelling and a natural ability to document both candid interactions and beautifully composed portraits.

The images she delivered perfectly reflected the atmosphere and energy of each celebration. From a planner's perspective, Francesca was a dream to work with. She was always in the right place at the right time and captured moments without ever feeling intrusive.”

The Signature Blend

Digital and Film. Color and Black + White.

On Film. My earliest formal study of photography began in the darkroom: loading film, developing images by hand, and learning how light becomes something physical. That is what makes film feel so precious to me. It carries texture, grain, softness – a sense of nostalgia that feels especially moving on a wedding day.

A Hybrid Approach. Balancing digital and film photography on a wedding day has become a part of the process that inspires me most as an artist. Digital allows me the flexibility to document moments more freely and explore new ideas in real time, while film requires space to breathe. With a limited number of frames per roll, I reach for 35mm or medium format 120 film with intention, capturing each portrait, detail, or atmospheric moment with quiet observation, waiting for just the right moment to press down on the shutter.

A Cohesive Final Gallery. Over time, I’ve developed a signature style that seamlessly integrates film and digital imagery, color and black-and-white. Black-and-white brings the eye back to feeling. Color preserves the atmosphere. I allow my film images to stand on their own, adding grain, texture, and nostalgia, while complementing their digital counterparts, edited with true-to-life color and the influence of film tones. Together, they create a final gallery that feels cohesive, layered, timeless, and truly encapsulating the day itself.

“From the getting-ready moments to the ceremony, portraits, and capturing the beauty of the venue, she approached everything with so much care and intention. She also has a way of making everyone feel completely at ease, which made such a difference in our photos.

Most importantly, she captured so many meaningful moments that we didn’t even realize were happening—and those have become some of our favorite memories. Our photos turned out even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.”
